(My first attempt at writing a huitain)
Ravaged by malignant remorse –
Consumed by vicious memory –
A prisoner recalls the course,
That's led to penitentiary.
Regret compounds intensity,
As tears of anguish are let loose.
His sorrow flows until empty,
When still becomes the saving noose.
